Swakopmund is a charming nice little old german town, three languages spoken here: english, Afrikaans and german, old german architecture from 1900-1920.
Early morning just a long (2 hours) walk at the Atlantic Beach ending at an old (1905) ship landing bridge they call Jetty. Sky clears up and i spend another hour at the Jetty.
Next: Coffee need, i walk to Village Cafe, simply the best cafe, i have seen for a long time( tip of our B&B owner Yvonne), nice people, good drinks and meals, beautiful interior, just a garden cafe in the middle of the town. Lots of coffee and a large pancake.
The Menu card is #purrfect, made me ROFLing the whole day
(more Photos see next blog entry ).
Then a walk to the Lighthouse with a nice little park. I meet my wife at 14:00. There also is a little mole / mini harbor at the beach. We discover a seal family, some baby seals in the water, Mother and some more baby seals on the stones enjoying the sun. Next another visit to Village Cafe, coffee some cake, evening Dinner at restaurant Napolitano again.
